Think Tanks

In August 2014, the G1 Institute established a think tank, the G1 Policy Research Institute. Together with G1 members, the institute presents and implements a concrete vision and methodology of "100 Actions" to change Japan.

Focusing mainly on research and commercialization of AI, robotics and iPS cells, we consider, propose and execute measures for Japan to successfully compete globally.

Utilizing the G1 platform, we involve political and business leaders to develop and implement strategies to spread Japanese culture -- both traditional and "cool Japan" -- throughout the world.

In November 2017, the G1 Oceans Research Group was established to research and take action on issues in the marine environment, namely pollution, climate change, and illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing (IUU).
